Our
Student Representative Council is known as Kookaburra
Council. A student, elected from each class, attends
Kookaburra Council meetings each fortnight under the
guidance of staff members, Mrs. Jacqui Brettig and Mr. Brian
Marshall. Each student representative serves two terms
on Council. Students discuss issues raised at class
meetings and make recommendations for consideration by staff
and School Governing Council. |

including regular student discos and the very popular Casual
Days. This year several charities will once again be
supported by the activities of Kookaburra Council.
Over the years, many
hundreds of dollars have been donated to organizations such
as:-

"This
year my role will be Treasurer of Kookaburra Council.
Basically, my objective is to keep the money safe from
"unauthorized hands !" I will enjoy my role
for the next year, and I hope to use the experience in
further things to come."

"Kookaburra Council is our student council
and it is our very enjoyable role to work with the student
leadership team and the class representatives; helping them
to develop skills in discussing issues, forming arguments
and understanding the school's decision making and
communication procedures. We expect that they will then have
an impact on their class meetings and the discussions that
take shape there." Principal,
Brian Marshall |
