There was a variety of clothing seen on the night. Some of the fashion worn included: flares, poncho tops, kaftans, safari suits, platforms, boob toobs, mini skirts, cheesecloth tops and lots of others.

Music included on the night featured bands such as Abba, Status Quo, Skyhooks, Roller Strollers and Daddy Cool !

People reminisced about some of the television programmes and films of the day.......Brady Bunch, Happy Days, M.A.S.H., Sonny and Cher, Saturday Night Fever, Grease and plenty more !

The School Fund-raising Committee is responsible for organizing fundraisers throughout the school year. These fundraisers provide additional revenue for the school so that many of the school programmes and facilities are maintained. The committee is made up of parents and staff who work as a sub-committee of The School's Governing Council. One of the main fundraisers for the year 2001, was a social event for Happy Valley School parents and friends called, "Living in the 70's." It was held in the School Hall on Saturday, 25th August.

During the evening, everyone who attended really got into the swing of the seventies by dressing in the period and participating in a 1970s quiz.

Night of Nostalgia

There was a lot of nostalgia during the evening and everyone had a great time. Not only was money raised for the school, but the evening also provided another opportunity for the school and its community to further strengthen the bonds that are an essential part of the fabric of Happy Valley School.
