Enterprising young artists from Mr. Jones' Yr.7 class prepare artwork for the exhibition

During Term 2, students in Mr. Jones' Year 7 class, with the assistance of Ruth Lock a talented and enthusiastic student teacher, organized an Art Exhibition and Competition for students in Years 6 and 7.

In addition to newly acquired skills, the students drew on previous enterprise experiences to launch themselves into the project with considerable zest and enthusiasm. As part of their busy preparation, students successfully sought a patron to sponsors prizes. As a result, Lou Arnold from Brice Metals made a very generous donation.

The students also gained a great deal of insight into the Visual Arts, particularly as they developed criteria for judging entries in each of the chosen categories.
