One of the traditional highlights of the school year is the School
Christmas Night. This year was no exception.
A
warm, balmy evening set the scene on Monday 8th December for a wonderful end of
year celebration. Our school community created a carnival atmosphere, with their
deck chairs and picnic rugs strewn on the school oval.
The evening was hosted by Year 7 students, Ashlee Randall and Travis
Gordon.

Entertainment included Christmas carols sung by the Junior Primary
students, a dance performance presented by Mrs Petho’s and Mr
Mueller’s classes
and a medley of songs by the Primary choir and
band.

The adults
joined in the fun too, with items from Parents in Theatre and the staff.
The audience also got a turn, with community carol singing led by
Heather Jesshope. The evening finished in Happy Valley tradition with a
fireworks display that delighted young and old.

Happy Valley School
would like to take this opportunity to thank all the students, parents,
and teachers who prepared for and staged such a great evening for our
school community, the volunteers who stayed behind afterwards to pack up
and, of course,
the community,
for being such a fantastic audience on the night.
A joyous and Happy Christmas to everyone
from Happy Valley School students, parents and staff.
