During August, Mrs Higgins' Reception/Yr 1 class held an Impressionist Art Exhibition. The purpose of the exhibition was to provide an opportunity for the children to share their learning with family and friends.

The class had been learning about  the life and art of Claude Monet. They had each produced their own paintings which had been inspired by Monet's unique impressionist style.

The children organised the programme of events including a Grand Opening by Mr MacLean, light refreshments and sharing information about Claude Monet, the students' favourite impressionist artist.

The thumbnails below show the students sharing their knowledge and talents with family members, friends and other classes. Click on a thumbnail to enlarge photo and enter our very special Impressionist Art Exhibition Photo Gallery.
