On Friday 3rd June, the school participated in the Ecoliving Expo in the Ridley Pavilion at the Wayville Showgrounds. The Expo, which was timed to coincide with World Environment Day was a showcase of environmentally friendly programmes and products.  Our school was invited to participate because of the number of environmental programmes operating in our school.

The display consisted of photographs, video, seedlings, art work and other student work

Parents and students established a display focussing on all the environmental projects that the school is involved in -- the Panalatinga Reserve, the propagation area, the paper and food scraps recycling programs, the edible garden and the wetland area. Throughout the day, the photographic and video display was manned by groups of students who acted as information guides for visitors to our display. Our presentation received a lot of favourable comment and through it we were able to make contacts with a number of people and organizations who are involved in conservation and environmental education.

Thank you to the parents who were involved with the display and transporting students -- Judy Hardwick, Kaye Dennert, Judy Tester, Gina and Tim Ray-Zwar, Marie Szeitz and Janet Veljkovic.   Well done to all the students who acted as guides and information givers at the display, you were great ambassadors for the school.

Special thanks also to Wendy Nicolle who was first approached to involve our school and coordinated the whole project.

Parents, staff and students all contributed to the success of the exhibit.
